I often use building energy simulation programs while performing analyses for my customers to help justify new technologies or efficiency levels in building energy standards. I founded the BLDG-SIM mailing list several years ago and it has grown to the best place to ask questions concerning a wide variety of building energy simulation programs.

If you have used EnergyPlus much you have probably used some of the software I wrote including EP-Launch, IDF Editor, HVAC-Diagram, ExpandObjects, DOE2Translator as well as the tabular reporting and utility rate calculation functions built into EnergyPlus.

I am currently the president of GARD Analytics and one of the owners.
